PRIJEDOR, JULY 11 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik emphasized that the global campaign in New York titled "Learn About Serbian Suffering" is part of the overall efforts of Serbs to present facts, rather than their own interpretations of the truth.

He noted that it is a historical fact that Serbs were prevented from presenting their suffering and that, even when they managed to do so somewhere, others would turn away and ignore it.

Dodik emphasized that the situation today is somewhat different in America itself, where the main narrative is the protection of Christian values in the world and the preservation of Christianity.

"And in that environment, I believe this presentation will make much greater progress than it would have if we had done it during the administration of /Joseph/ Biden, who was unable to do anything to help the Serbs," Dodik added.

He pointed out that someone had decided, at the end of the civil war in BiH, to advance a false narrative that Serbs had killed 300,000 Muslims and raped 60,000 Muslim women.

"Now everyone knows that this is a lie," Dodik told reporters at Mrakovica, where he attended the commemoration marking the 84th anniversary of the Battle of Kozara.

According to him, in that atmosphere of lies against the Serbian people, the conditions were created for a political agreement known as the Dayton Agreement, which, he said, was intended exclusively to attract the Serbs.

"Just as they rounded us up here and took us to Jasenovac, they also signed the agreement in Dayton and then left time to destroy the Serbs in these areas. BiH is a tragic fate for us and cannot be our orientation. Our freedom is called Republika Srpska and Serbia, and we will continue to fight for that," Dodik said.

He said it was impossible that those who seek to oppress the Serbs could be right, while the Serbian people, who are fighting for their own freedom without any desire to oppress others, could be wrong.

"That is simply neither logical, nor in accordance with life, nor civilizationally acceptable, in no way," Dodik added.

He recalled that Sena Uzunović, a passionate fundamentalist and Muslim, who presided over the case against him as the president of Srpska for no reason, had been an assistant to the commander of the so-called Army of BiH in charge of legal affairs in Konjic, precisely at the time when the entire Serbian population in Bradina was killed.

"She was legally obliged to investigate and rule on that crime. Later, she moved to the court and acquitted those perpetrators, only for them to appear before The Hague, which convicted them for that crime. This means that Uzunović was covering up crimes," Dodik stated.

Saying that he was put on trial for "not respecting a foreigner," Dodik said that if he had yielded to Christian Schmidt, it would have meant that the Serbs who died on Kozara had died in vain. He asked what kind of Serb, a man from Kozara or Potkozarje, he would be if he had been Schmidt’s subordinate.

"That is why I could not accept such lies that were being spread, not even for a single moment," Dodik added.

He said that Republika Srpska today is in a better position than ever before.

"Today, Republika Srpska has only one task - to remain united around the values called Republika Srpska. I appeal to every citizen and every person in Republika Srpska to unite around Srpska," Dodik said.

The Memorial Center of Republika Srpska has launched the global campaign "Learn About Serbian Suffering" in the center of New York, presenting for the first time in history in the United States the story of the suffering of the Serbian people
