BANJA LUKA, April 25 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik wished success to Sara Ćirković, who is representing Serbia in the world title boxing match against Romane Moulai of France, stating that Banja Luka and Republika Srpska can be proud to host such an event.
"We’ve done everything to be excellent hosts. I hope the spectators will enjoy the spectacle. This is an important and emotional match for us. Behind these athletes stands immense effort and sacrifice. They have devoted their lives to sport and competition," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka after hosting Sara Ćirković, Romane Moulai, and representatives of the Boxing Federation of Serbia and the International Boxing Association (IBA) at the Palace of the Republic.
He wished both a good match and success to Sara Ćirković, noting that she is a fighter and an important figure in the community.
"She proudly carries her belonging to our people. Successful individuals like Sara have never seen their achievements as just personal victories, but as national ones. Gathering around our sports heroes is very important. I am thankful that Banja Luka, a city of boxing with an Olympic champion, has the opportunity to host such athletes. I believe we will all enjoy the match," Dodik stated.
The IBA spectacle "Night of Champions" will be held on April 27 at the "Borik" sports hall in Banja Luka.
There will be nine professional matches featuring Olympic, world, and European medalists.
The main event of the evening is scheduled for eight rounds, in the 53.5 kg category, for the IBA professional world champion title in the women’s division, where Ćirković will face off against France's Romane Moulai.
