DODIK: SRPSKA HAS FRIENDS IN EUROPE WHO UNDERSTAND SITUATION

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 18 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said that Srpska is in a good position, that it has friends in Europe, and that an estimated 140–150 Members of the European Parliament would now side with it - an unthinkable figure ten years ago

"The Freedom Party of Austria, Germany's AfD, Marine Le Pen's National Rally, even Matteo Salvini's League in Italy, they understand our position. When you factor in our close relations with Serbia, Russia, Azerbaijan, China, and the increasingly positive ties with the new U.S. administration, it's clear that we are in a good position," Dodik said.

The President of Srpska says that he expects the new administration in Washington to redefine its policy in BiH in the coming months.

"It certainly won't be like before, when a single ambassador had the unquestioned power to bring down a country," Dodik said in an interview with Glas Srpske.

The President of Srpska stressed that he is fighting for Srpska's constitutional status.

"We say that Republika Srpska can exist within BiH - but within its constitution, not the version the Muslims want. How will everything be resolved? It will be resolved through a political process because this crisis was caused by a political process, and more and more people around the world understand what it's really about," Dodik said.

The President of Srpska says that there will be no conflict or war here.

"We have no intention of waging war, but we will defend Republika Srpska by political means. We are not interested in Sarajevo, Tuzla, or anything in the Federation of BiH. Yet they show interest in everything in Srpska," Dodik said.

He added that the Bosniaks, Muslims, are hoping for a "second half" and would welcome a conflict, believing it would help them achieve their goals - but it's clear nothing will come of that.
