DODIK: SORECA IS A MANIPULATOR, DAYTON AGREEMENT AND EU ACCESSION ARE SEPARATE ISSUES

BANJA LUKA, JULY 6 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik accused European Union Delegation Head to BiH Luigi Soreca of being a manipulator and improviser, arguing that the Dayton Peace Accords and BiH's path toward EU membership are unrelated.

"The Dayton Agreement provides for the high representative to assist in implementing the civilian aspects of the agreement, while the European path is a matter of internal agreement," Dodik wrote on the social media platform X.

He said the Venice Commission concluded as early as 2005 that the Office of the High Representative was an obstacle to European integration.

"Had the OHR been closed when it lost any real purpose, many agreements would have been reached and BiH would not be at a standstill," Dodik pointed out.

He added that Soreca "clearly has different plans - not to build, but to dismantle."

"He manipulates and misleads by treating laws imposed by Schmidt as an example of the rule of law," Dodik stated.
