BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska has never questioned the stability of Srpska and its national interests.
In an interview with SRNA, Dodik stated that sometimes there are misunderstandings among the parties of the ruling coalition regarding appointments to some positions but that he is proud that the coalition has never allowed its stability to be called into question in the face of serious challenges and national issues that are crucial for Republika Srpska.
"In those situations, we were always united and we had the strength to say this is from the side, and we must have this issue on the agenda," emphasized Dodik.
SNSD HAS GREAT SUPPORT FROM PEOPLE
The president of SNSD said that this party is ready for the upcoming early elections, in case they are held, stressing that they have a lot of support from the people.
"SNSD is ready for these elections, we have a lot of support from the people, which could be seen two days ago in Bijeljina. All our organizations are functioning very well. We are working on further strengthening the party and cooperation with the people, because that is extremely important to us," said Dodik.
He said that the elections are a fabrication of Sarajevo politics and the Muslim bench that wants to show that it decides on everything.
"Like the humiliation I experienced in connection with the counting of ballots for the president of the Republic that they took to Sarajevo, claiming that something was suspicious. For me, it was a humiliation, because they wanted to say that they decide who should be president and who will not. These elections were not decided by the National Assembly, neither the opposition, nor the universities, nor the unions, nor the veterans' organizations asked for these elections," said Dodik.
He assessed that the elections have long been no longer just a story about the rights of citizens, but the instigation of destabilization, recalling that earlier, with the same goal, the fourth SNSD delegate in the House of Peoples was eliminated.
Dodik pointed out that the SDA and the "Troika" always come together when it is necessary to act against Srpska, adding that this was the case with Nebojša Radmanović.
OPPOSITION HAS LOST PATRIOTIC SIDE AND IS NOT UNITED
President Dodik said that the opposition in Republika Srpska has lost its patriotic side.
"When we invited them to go together to form a government of national unity, they went to the British Embassy in Sarajevo and to negotiate with the `Troika` something against the Republika Srpska. Back then, they publicly said that they did not want to talk to us, but they did. This means that you are committed to the Bosnian idea, the state and the nation, and not to Republika Srpska and the Serbian nation. Such people are called traitors everywhere," emphasized Dodik.
He pointed out that the situation in the opposition ranks is best illustrated by the fact that their membership is dropping out.
"People are already leaving them. You know what it would mean if the president of the Association of Woman of SNSD left the SNSD. That would be a disruption. And this is what a woman from the PDP did because she understands the current situation. You have many dissatisfied people in the PDP. Many of them do not know where they are - whether in the SS Movement or in the PDP. Both are tragic," stated Dodik.
Dodik assessed the formation of a new political movement in Republika Srpska as good, adding that it is breaking the opposition.
"When I look at it from the point of view of the political process, it cannot be better," the SNSD leader emphasized.
According to him, the people who make up the opposition cannot do anything of quality on any plan.
"This is the hatred they have between themselves, and they want to show that they are united. This nation and the Republic would be miserable if they came to power. After seven days, due to their own animosities, they would not be able to hold a single high-quality meeting, let alone come up with long-term solutions," said Dodik.
He recalled that the opposition had lost all elections since 2000, asking what kind of political leader someone who persistently returns after so many defeats can be.
"How come they don't get tired of losing. I started to get tired of winning, but I have to, not because it's a question of my status, but because it's a matter of one idea, the Republic and the nation. Because what is being offered as an opposition is a disaster," Dodik stated.
