BANJA LUKA, JUNE 23 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik states the Serbs are a people who do not allow others to manage their affairs, and that they have finally seen an American administration, headed by Donald Trump, that shares this view, which is important for Republika Srpska.
Dodik emphasized that both Republika Srpska and President Trump understand that no foreign intervention can create a happy country.
"Srpska supports President Trump, who has done many things that benefit us. One of them is the evident reduction in the harmful, malignant influence of NGOs funded by USAID," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka following a meeting with Rod Blagojevich, former Governor of Illinois and close associate of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Dodik recalled that the Trump administration, early in its term, declared USAID a criminal organisation.
"They wanted to change our identity and turn us into something completely different. It is clear that the situation has improved since that classification. All those outrageous, criminal NGOs that caused us so much harm are now waiting for new sponsors to continue their activities," Dodik said.
The president of Srpska pointed out that Trump, through several of his public appearances, clearly expressed the position that America has no intention of interfering in the internal affairs of other countries or building nations and states.
"For us here, it became clear that the idea of a `Bosnian nation,` as envisioned by Trump's predecessors, was being abandoned and that efforts to build a state that does not serve its peoples’ interests were coming to an end. We understand that it is necessary to return to agreements within the framework of BiH," said Dodik.
The third important point, according to Dodik, is that Trump belongs to the traditional part of the political spectrum that believes men are fathers, women are mothers, and nothing else exists.
"This is important to us, because there were attempts to impose `Parent One` and `Parent Two` on us. Those pressures no longer exist, and we are already feeling the benefits of what the Trump administration is doing," Dodik concluded.
