DODIK: SERB-RUSSIAN COOPERATION PROVEN THROUGHOUT HISTORY

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 29 /SRNA/ — President Milorad Dodik thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for receiving him at the Kremlin and emphasized that Serb-Russian peoples cooperation has been proven throughout history.

"Thank you for your position at the UN. We would like to make it clear that we sense the evil of the Brussels offices on daily basis. We keep opposing any possibility of imposing sanctions on Russia. I know that this is symbolic, but that is our position," Dodik said at the beginning of the meeting.

Dodik proposed that the Russian Federation - Republika Srpska governments’ joint sessions be held once a year.

"It is very important that our relationship and cooperation be visible," Dodik said.

He said that the Dayton Peace Agreement had failed and that “the Westerners tore it apart.”

"Trust in BiH has never been lower, and I believe it will be difficult for BiH to succeed," Dodik said.

President Dodik reiterated his support for Russia in the special military operation.

"I am proud of the fact that we are with you and that you are restoring Russia as a global power," Dodik said.

Dodik congratulated Putin on his success in the elections to the Russian State Duma.

"I believe that we will also succeed in the October 4 elections. Everything points in that direction," Dodik said, adding that Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić is the ruling coalition’s candidate for Republika Srpska president and that all polls indicate that he will win.

Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that he would like to be part of President Dodik’s team working to strengthen relations between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation.

"Your stability and support mean a lot to us," Minić said at the beginning of the meeting with the Russian president at the Kremlin.
