BANJA LUKA, MAY 22 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that the 12 Banja Luka babies remain an eternal warning of how costly freedom, life and Republika Srpska have been paid for.
"Today in Banja Luka we laid wreaths and paid tribute to the 12 Banja Luka babies, whose deaths are one of the most tragic and painful wounds of Republika Srpska," Dodik wrote on the social network X.
He stressed that these innocent lives were not taken by war, but by an inhumane blockade and the shameful silence of the international community, which allowed children to die without oxygen and the right to breathe.
"The twelve Banja Luka stars remain an eternal warning to all of us of how costly freedom, life and Republika Srpska are. They must never be forgotten. May they have eternal glory," Dodik stated.
Wreaths and flowers were laid today at the Life Memorial Monument in central Banja Luka marking 34 years since the deaths of 12 Banja Luka babies at the then Clinical Center, who died because world powers did not allow the transport of oxygen.
