BANJA LUKA, JULY 22 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska and the Republic of Tatarstan see an opportunity to make agreements that will boost cooperation in areas important to both societies, the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated today.
Dodik noted that this does not apply only to the economy, but also to education, sports, culture, and other fields.
"We have an additional need to establish forms of cooperation so that we can stand before Vladimir Putin and say that we are implementing relations," Dodik said after a working meeting between the delegations of Republika Srpska and Tatarstan held in Banja Luka.
He added that the delegation from Tatarstan is here to seek solutions for establishing close relations.
He stated that Tatarstan is a highly developed area with advanced technologies.
He emphasized that cooperation with Russia is based on maintaining good relations and that in challenging times efforts were made to preserve a high level of cooperation.
"We have always had understanding for our position, and we believe it is right to pursue a policy of not imposing sanctions on Russia. Even if BiH imposed sanctions on Russia, it would not mean anything, but this is about relations and friendships," Dodik stressed.
