BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 24 /SRNA/ - SNSD president Milorad Dodik said that no institution at the level of BiH has confirmed November 25 as a holiday in the country, emphasizing that it is a communist holiday that will not be celebrated in Republika Srpska.

"It may be observed in the Federation of BiH, but not in BiH as a whole. The narrative is being pushed insistently to impose and preserve it. Some even went to New York, misrepresenting themselves at the UN and organizing receptions. Some fell for it, some did not," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He stated that it was the communists who imposed this, falsely putting a yoke on the people of BiH, which has never been, nor will ever be, accepted in Republika Srpska.

"If they are so consistent in their communist constructs, why don’t they celebrate November 29, when at the Second Session of AVNOJ in 1943, Yugoslavia was established as a federal state, and BiH came into existence only through communist entanglements?" Dodik asked.

He added that the communists at the time wanted to break up Yugoslavia, which had been formed from provinces and organized differently, and to introduce the concept of BiH as a republic that was neither Serbian, Croatian, nor Muslim.
