BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 24 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik told the prime minister-designate Savo Minić that his task is to restore relations to the original Dayton Agreement and to prevent any further contacts that promote rule by decree.
"I believe Republika Srpska is a state where neither politics nor the people can be silenced," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.
He said that Srpska has friends in Serbia, Hungary, Russia, China, and other countries.
"We expect the new U.S. administration to recognize this and be our partner on issues they have highlighted in their agenda, namely, that they do not want to build impossible nations, or have someone from distant offices manage any part of the world, and that they seek a partnership based on sovereignty rather than imposed state engineering," Dodik emphasized.
He emphasized that he expects Minić not to allow Srpska to become a dumping ground for solving migration problems, and that migrants should not remain in Srpska, nor be granted any status.
"They have destroyed the EU system. So what should Republika Srpska expect?" Dodik asked.
He wished Minić a successful mandate and told him that he would have his full support in this.
