DODIK: MINIĆ ONE OF THE MOST SERIOUS CANDIDATES FOR SRPSKA PRESIDENT

BIJELJINA, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ – One of SNSD’s most serious candidates for Republika Srpska president office in the upcoming October elections is Savo Minić, the party’s leader Milorad Dodik said this evening in Bijeljina.

"Minić is the best option this people has at this moment. He is full of energy, knowledge, will, and emotion to fight. He holds a doctorate in law and has a record of serious work behind him. I have complete confidence in Savo Minić," Dodik said during the panel discussion titled "Republika Srpska – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow."

Dodik emphasized that the party enjoys excellent ratings, as shown by opinion polls.

Asked whether the longest-standing coalition in Republika Srpska would remain after October, Dodik said it would and expressed gratitude to all coalition members, adding that he was proud that they had not abandoned the common struggle for Republika Srpska even after leaving office.

"We understand each other, we are committed to the same work and idea – Republika Srpska and we will continue to pursue it. Electoral defeat is not an option, especially not against an opposition like this," Dodik said.

According to him, the ruling coalition has demonstrated that it is always ready to defend Republika Srpska when important national issues are at stake.
