BILEĆA, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has stated today in Bileća that Republika Srpska is making sure to provide good conditions for the upbringing, education, and development of children and youth of all ages, and that Bileća will soon have sufficient kindergarten capacity for its youngest residents.
Dodik has reminded that students already have free dormitories and that enough kindergarten facilities will be built in every municipality.
"Our goal is to avoid any selection over who can attend kindergarten and who cannot", said Dodik, who together with Prime Minister Savo Minić laid the foundation stone for a new kindergarten in Bileća. The construction and furnishing, funded by the Office of the Republika Srpska president, will cost BAM 4.2 million.
Dodik announced plans for new kindergartens in Prijedor, Čelinac, Teslić, Kozarska Dubica, and Zvornik.
"Municipalities that haven’t yet completed the necessary procedures will have the opportunity to do so next year", Dodik added.
He also announced that after the kindergartens are built, the next step will be to ensure free attendance for all children.
"I am very happy and satisfied with this project in Bileća. When I served military here, I could never have imagined that one day I would help build something like this", Dodik told reporters.
He reminded that Bileća was among the first municipalities to submit the required permits and applications for the kindergarten’s construction.
Dodik also said that during his visit to Bileća today, he toured the supply tunnel of the Dabar Hydropower Plant, highlighting the numerous benefits the Herzegovina region will gain from that project.
He has emphasized that there are many measures to be implemented, but that preserving national identity is the most important task.
"Children must learn from an early age what the Serbian Orthodox faith is", Dodik said.
He added that a people without faith have no identity, and without identity, there is no future.
Dodik also announced plans to build a express road connecting Herzegovina to Banja Luka.
"I am convinced that we are aware of the growth that Republika Srpska is achieving and that we have made Srpska secure", Dodik said in Bileća.
