BANJA LUKA, JUNE 25 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik says he gives Bakir Izetbegović permission to release the recording of their conversation, as well as anyone else who may have recorded it.
"Bakir called for making public the recording of our conversation. I am certain that he recorded it. I give him my consent to do so. Anyone else who recorded that conversation also has my permission to publish it," Dodik posted on X.
Responding to Izetbegović's earlier statement that Dodik "must be gotten rid of by some force," the SNSD leader said that he had called on Izetbegović to tell what his problem was.
"He said he would call at 1:00 p.m. I believe that by then he will come up with an answer, first and foremost for himself, and prepare the equipment to record the conversation," Dodik posted earlier on X.
Dodik later stated that during the phone conversation Izetbegović was unable at any point to explain the remarks he had made the previous evening.
"During the `tense` phone call, I was laughing, while Bakir awkwardly defended and justified himself in a way that he neither said `yes` nor `no,` using general platitudes," Dodik said.
Dodik emphasized that, instead of taking responsibility for his words, he witnessed his attempt to relativize and avoid the substance of the threats.
