JERUSALEM, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President, Milorad Dodik, says he is a legalist who stands for the Dayton Peace Agreement, while the other party is conducting a campaign against the legal and constitutional order in BiH.
Dodik emphasized in an interview with The Jerusalem Post that Republika Srpska does not threaten or endanger anyone.
"The situation in BiH is stable and security and peace are not threatened by our party. I assure you that our party is not a threat to peace or the Dayton Peace Agreement; such accusations are an absolute lie," stressed Dodik.
He stated that everything he said or did was in favour of not putting anyone in danger.
Dodik points out that the other party is conducting a campaign against the legal and constitutional order of BiH.
"We are legalists and we want the legal system to remain as it was. If you want to amend it, then you have to do it in a constitutional way. You can't just come and breach the laws of a state," said Dodik.
He stated that the aggression comes from the other side.
"We do not threaten or endanger anyone," said Dodik.
Answering a question regarding the US sanctions imposed on him, Dodik said that the only reason for those sanctions was his support for the current US President Donald Trump.
"The only reason for it is that I supported the same values much earlier. Now they are applying their punishment and will use all means if they believe it will the way to achieve their goal, which is mine and the elimination of the Government of Republika Srpska," said Dodik.
He stated that the administration of former US President Joseph Biden always invented lies, as did the administration of Barack Obama.
"They introduced sanctions to take revenge on me because I supported Trump. There is no other reason, everything else is a hidden lie," said Dodik.
The president of Srpska recalled that during his visit to the USA, he visited the Serb community in the USA, which is large, and appealed to the Serbs to vote for Trump and the policy that will help not only them in the USA, but is good for the Serb people in general.
"When President Trump won the elections /for the first term/, I was invited to attend the inauguration. Literally, two days before the trip, sanctions were imposed on me," said Dodik.
