DODIK: HIGH LEVEL OF COOPERATION FOUNDATION FOR IMPROVING SERBS - HUNGARIANS RELATIONS

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 21 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik congratulated Hungary on St. Stephen's Day, the country's king and founder, noting that the high level of cooperation between the institutions of Republika Srpska and this country is a foundation for further improving relations.

"The centuries-old tradition of the Hungarian state and the preservation of all elements of Hungarian identity serve as an example to many peoples in Europe and around the world," Dodik posted on X.

On the occasion of the holiday, he extended his congratulations to the Hungarian people, leaders and institutions.

"The high level of cooperation between the institutions of Republika Srpska and Hungary is a foundation for further improving good-neighbourly relations, both at the institutional level and through contacts between the two peoples - Serbs and Hungarians," Dodik said.

St. Stephen's Day is celebrated as a day of national pride for Hungarians, as Stephen united the Hungarian tribes and established Hungary as a Christian state.
