DODIK: GOOD COOPERATION WITH GAZPROM TO CONTINUE

BRČKO, JULY 10 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska will continue its good cooperation with the Russian company Gazprom, President Milorad Dodik said today.

Dodik said that, in his view, there is no better solution on planet Earth than a new agreement with Gazprom.

"We are not a large consumer, but it is important that we are not on the list of hostile countries and hostile entities towards the Russian Federation, especially towards Gazprom. That is why, when we were in St. Petersburg, we held talks with Gazprom at the highest level and kept prices at the same level as before, which are considerably more favourable than those offered by any other side," Dodik said.

He added that this is also the only possible supplier from that side.

"We will continue to cooperate with Gazprom, and we thank them for once again showing understanding. They could have said that the price was three times higher, as it is today in Europe, or they could have said something else," Dodik told reporters in Brčko.
