DODIK EXTENDS JOVANJDAN GREETINGS

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 20 /SRNA/ - President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats /SNSD/ Milorad Dodik extended greetings on the occasion of Jovanjdan to all Orthodox believers who celebrate this day as their patron saint's day.

"May this holy day bring peace, health and prosperity to your homes. I wish you to spend this day surrounded by your loved ones - family, friends and neighbors - in the spirit of love and togetherness," Dodik wrote on the social media platform X.

The Feast of the Assembly of St. John the Baptist - Jovanjdan, one of the holidays dedicated to the saint and prophet who announced the coming of the Savior and baptized Him in the River Jordan, is celebrated today in all churches of the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/ and in Orthodox households as one of the most common Serbian patron saint's days.
