DODIK: ELECTIONS COULD BE DECLARED ILLEGITIMATE FOR BEING CONDUCTED BY ILLEGITIMATE BODY

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 30 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says the members of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH were appointed without parliamentary procedure, therefore cannot serve there based on the law, warning that the upcoming general elections could consequently be declared illegitimate for being conducted by an illegitimate body.

Speaking about the introduction of new technologies into the upcoming electoral process in BiH, Dodik noted that SNSD had warned a month ago that the system would not work, but had been punished for "spreading false information".

"Until yesterday, they did not have the equipment for identifying identity cards, but they said it would arrive in the coming days; the elections are on Sunday!? The whole thing is absurd," Dodik told the press in Banja Luka.

He added that all Bosniaks are united against Republika Srpska and that there is no one in the SDP, SDA, or non-governmental organisations who thinks otherwise.

"Nowhere is there a call for Republika Srpska to be recognised as an acceptable partner for dialogue. The Bosniaks are united in their intent to remove me, and have everything flourished once they bring in some compliant people," Dodik said, adding that Srpska would never accept this.

He said that Denis Bećirović and others like him travel around the world and slander Republika Srpska.

"Bećirović spewed lies about Srpska at the UN and said that he represented the entire BiH. That is a failed foreign policy, therefore it is logical that BiH does not exist either," Dodik said.
