VUKOSAVLJE, NOVEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik stated today that construction of the highway section from Vukosavlje toward the Brčko District is starting at full capacity.

Dodik visited the construction site of this highway section today, noting that all necessary prerequisites for construction have been completed, including resolving property and legal issues and signing contracts with the Chinese partner.

"We intend, as we have announced, to create a connection between Banja Luka and Rača within the next three to four years, thus linking up by highway with Belgrade", Dodik told reporters.

He stated that the issue of passing through the Brčko District remains unresolved.

"The route from Bijeljina to the Brčko District has already been agreed upon. We will have the opportunity, in about four to five years, to complete all necessary works and build this Banja Luka–Belgrade highway, which for us is a historic and symbolic stretch. It is not just about transportation; it is about connecting with our homeland, with Belgrade", Dodik emphasized.

He added that this will bring a range of benefits to every region through which the highway passes.

"People will feel this here in Modriča, Šamac, Lončari, Obudovac… It will mean new investors. I believe in it, because by the small road people leave, and by the big road people come", Dodik emphasized.

He added that hardworking and professional workers are engaged in the construction of this section and expressed satisfaction that local companies are also involved.

"All that remains is to celebrate the completion of this work. I believe it will be finished on schedule, within three years", Dodik said.

He added that the route from Rača to Bijeljina will be opened by mid-year or by September of next year.

"That shows that we are a Republic of labor victories and work achievements. They can say whatever they want, they can bark at the moon, but Republika Srpska is developing and does not stop", Dodik said.
