DODIK CONGRATULATES ORBAN ON NATIONAL DAY: SRPSKA SEES HUNGARY AS LAST ISLAND OF PEACE, REASON AND LEADERSHIP

BANJALUKA, MARCH 15 /SRNA/ – Today, Milorad Dodik congratulated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the National Day, marked on March 15 to commemorate the start of the revolution for the liberation of the Hungarian people from Habsburg rule.

Dodik pointed out that the significance of the revolution, which began on March 15, 1848, is all the greater because the Hungarian people stood up for their freedom against a much stronger and more numerous enemy.

"History repeats itself. As the years go by, we are witnessing that we are celebrating important holidays in increasingly complex circumstances. Wars, crises and endangered security have become the new face of Europe and the European Union,"Dodik said in the message.

Dodik stressed that the Serbian people and the institutions of Republika Srpska perceive Hungary under Orban’s leadership as the last island of peace and Christian freedoms, reason, leadership and courage.

"In that regard, my dear friend, I sincerely hope that in a month I will also have the pleasure of congratulating you on your election victory," Dodik said.

Dodik stressed that the elections in Hungary, scheduled for April 12 this year, are historic and represent more than parliamentary elections.

"I firmly believe that in April, precisely in Hungary, the future of the EU, the whole of Europe, and especially the region to which Republika Srpska belongs will be determined. We rely on the wisdom of the Hungarian people and the resilience of your party to the attacks," Dodik stated.

Dodik expressed confidence that the Hungarian people will once again choose a patriotic government led by Orban and Fidesz.

"I am certain that the Serbian people with the right to vote in Hungary will also vote in the same way," Dodik stressed.
