GRADIŠKA, JUNE 26 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said this evening that FC Sloga from Gornji Podgradci near Gradiška, which is marking its 100th anniversary, celebrates a century of sport, unity and dedication to its local community. The club's 100 years speak to a century in the life of this wonderful Podkozarje village, where football has been one of its two defining features.

"The first was the sawmill, and the second the football club. That speaks to its continuity and endurance. I grew up with basketball, but I know many fine players from my area who came here and held the football club from Gornji Podgradci in great respect," Dodik told reporters ahead of the ceremonial academy marking the club's centenary.

He said that this community, like many others, has always lived around a shared cause, whether a cultural and artistic society or a sports club.

"This is truly a significant anniversary. I know that veterans of major football clubs will come here tomorrow to play. I also know that all of this requires a great deal of effort, above all from the players themselves. We will support this club with BAM 60,000 for its upcoming competitions," Dodik stressed.

He said that the occasion marked a century of sport, unity and dedication to the local community.

"For an entire century, FC Sloga has brought generations together, promoted sporting values, and served as an important pillar of social life in Donji Podgradci and the Potkozarje region. Preserving clubs like this means preserving tradition, identity and giving young people the opportunity to grow up through sport and embrace the right values," Dodik said.

He wished the club's management and players many more successful seasons and sporting victories.
