DODIK: BLOCK EUROPEAN PATH, NOT ROADS

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 23 /SRNA/ - SNSD president Milorad Dodik said that Republika Srpska has consistently been on the side of transport operators and will continue to fight for their rights through institutional means, but does not support border blockades because they cause direct damage to the domestic economy.

"It would be far more meaningful and patriotic to go to Sarajevo and say that no further decisions on BiH's European path will be made until the issue of our transport operators is resolved. You would see that this would succeed within a few months. Not like this. This way, they are creating problems following the principle of divide and rule. Brussels creates the problem, and then delivers it to us here to deal with, and we are powerless to resolve it," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.

He believes that transport operators are justifiably feeling humiliated by what the EU has done and that it is the EU that should be blocked.

Dodik told transport operators that the institutions of Republika Srpska will stand with them in their reasonable demands for this issue to be resolved.
