DODIK AND MINNIKHANOV ON ECONOMIC COOPERATION, TATARSTAN DELEGATION TO VISIT BANJA LUKA

SAINT PETERSBURG, JUNME 19 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, met today in Saint Petersburg to discuss opportunities for cooperation, primarily in the field of economy, which is a significant opportunity for Srpska, as Tatarstan is the wealthiest and most developed region of Russia.

Dodik stated that it was agreed that a large delegation from Tatarstan will visit Banja Luka on July 21.

"The Government of Republika Srpska has the responsibility to analyze and identify areas where we can develop joint business ventures," Dodik told RTRS.

He emphasized that Srpska will easily capture their interest if it is, above all, innovative and knows what it wants.

"We need to take advantage of this; not only because it is politically acceptable, but also because of the emotional connection that people in Russia feel and their desire to help us," said Dodik.

The Srpska delegation also held talks today with representatives of the Komi Republic about possibilities for cooperation.
