BANJA LUKA, MAY 29 /SRNA/ – The documentary film "The Only One/Jedini" by film director Denis Bojić, which tells the moving life story of Velinko Trbić, one of the most severely disabled war veterans of Republika Srpska, premiered in Paris.

The screening, organised by the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Paris, was attended by members of the Serb diaspora in France, as well as numerous guests from cultural and public life.

The film was produced by the Republika Srpska Memorial Centre, with the support of the Republika Srpska Audio-Visual Centre.

Trbić speaks in the film about suffering, struggle, sacrifice, and the strength of the human spirit after the war.

"Through the personal testimony of the main protagonist, the film speaks about the price of war, but also about dignity, perseverance, and life after severe suffering," the Memorial Centre cited in a statement.

The premiere screening of the film in Paris represents a significant step in the international presentation of projects by the Republika Srpska Memorial Centre, with the aim of preserving the culture of remembrance and familiarizing the wider public with personal stories and the suffering of the Serb people during the Defensive-Patriotic War.
