DEMAND FOR THE DISMISSAL OF THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE CITY ASSEMBLY SAMIR BAĆEVAC

BIJELJINA, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - The President of the Garda Panteri Veterans Association Petar Cvijetinović requested today, on behalf of the veterans' associations in Bijeljina, the dismissal of the Vice President of the City Assembly Samir Baćevac, due to inappropriate and offensive public remarks directed at Republika Srpska and its defenders.

Cvijetinović told reporters that on Facebook, Baćevac insulted the Chief of the Main Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska, General Ratko Mladić, who passed away in The Hague.

In May, the Garda Panteri veterans condemned Baćevac for being photographed with Nezim Halilović, the wartime commander of the Fourth Muslim Brigade from Konjic, stating at the time that the behavior of this city parliament official is a poke in the eye to the Serb victims who were killed and expelled from their homes.
