BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 20 /SRNA/ – The entry of the Serbian Army into Banja Luka was not merely the arrival of one army to one city, but a day when it became clear that the strength of Serbia and the Serb people was inevitable and unbreakable, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik emphasized.
Dodik noted that today marks the anniversary of the day in 1918 when the Serbian Army entered Banja Luka and brought freedom that changed the destiny of this region and of our entire nation.
"It was not only the entry of an army into a city. It was the return of hope, dignity, and historical justice. A day when it was known that the strength of Serbia and the strength of the Serb people was inevitable and unbreakable," Dodik stressed.
He added that the symbolism is even deeper, as tomorrow we celebrate Aranđelovdan – the celebration of struggle, protection, and the victory of good over evil.
"It is as if history itself wanted to send a message that freedom is not a coincidence, but a blessing preserved by courage, faith, and unity. That is why today, when we lay wreaths and remember the Serbian soldiers, we also recall the message they left us: what is sacred must be protected, what is ours must be defended, and Srpska exists because its people have never abandoned it," Dodik wrote on X.
He pointed out that "it is our duty to safeguard that freedom, that Banja Luka, and that Republika Srpska with the same strength as those who brought light to this city and to our lives in 1918".
"Republika Srpska lives, grows stronger, and prevails – and with it lives the memory of all those who embedded freedom into its very foundations," Dodik emphasized.
