BANJA LUKA, JULY 7 /SRNA/ - Today, at a special session, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska confirmed by a two-thirds majority the statement of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, according to which the decision of the BiH Presidency on the appointment of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, adopted without consensus at the session of that joint institution, is very harmful to the vital interests of the Republic.
Out of the 64 Members of Parliament present, 59 voted in favor, two were against, while there were no abstentions.
Thereby, it was decided that the BiH Presidency's decision, which is disputed by Srpska, will not enter into force.
During the voting, the MPs also adopted 10 conclusions related to Cvijanović's veto, which were supported by the parliamentary caucuses of SNSD, SDS, PDP, SP, NPS-DNS, United Srpska, and SPS.
