CVIJANOVIĆ: WE HAVE OPENED IMPORTANT DOORS FOR FURTHER TALKS AND COOPERATION

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 21 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said that important doors had been opened in Washington today for further talks and economic cooperation regarding potential investment in Republika Srpska.

Following talks with Susie Wiles, US President Donald Trump’s chief of staff and closest aide, at the White House, Cvijanović said it had been agreed that the talks would continue over the next month and a half.

“We agreed to return here soon, in about a month to a month and a half, to continue talks on the issues we started discussing today. We expect these talks to result in some concrete activities as well,” Cvijanović said.

She sent a message to the people of Republika Srpska that the time was now definitely better and that this opportunity had to be used in the best possible way.

She stressed the importance of deepening understanding of certain issues that had remained insufficiently clarified in the past.

She emphasized that a new era had begun in which officials from Republika Srpska had opened some doors that had previously seemed unimaginable.

“I definitely see that we have opened some new doors, or that it was almost impossible to imagine that we could walk through them, engage in dialogue, have meaningful discussions, and have someone willing to listen to us, consider our views and act in a friendly manner towards Republika Srpska,” Cvijanović told ATV.

She said that the opportunity for dialogue and cooperation should be used.
