BANJA LUKA, APRIL 2 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović said that the monograph "Our Confession Two – Women War Victims from Republika Srpska 1992–1995" represents a moving testimony of both the pain and the courage of women who faced suffering, emphasizing that it is society’s permanent duty to care for them.

"I remember when I was Prime Minister, and we tried to establish a formal status for this association. We should thank these women and encourage them so they can tell their difficult and sad stories," Cvijanović said in Banja Luka at the promotion of the monograph, published by the Republic Center for War Research, War Crimes, and the Search for Missing Persons, together with the Association of Women War Victims.

She said that every woman who has experienced such trauma must receive encouragement to speak about the horrors she survived.

"We are grateful to Božica Živković-Rajilić and all the wonderful women who are part of the association, and who, together with others, institutions, and in cooperation with other associations, made it possible for us to make this available to the public," Cvijanović emphasized.

She added that freedom cannot be valued if the victims are not acknowledged.

"These women made immense sacrifices through their experiences. We will stand by all our associations. Our government is committed to supporting all organizations engaged in the social development of Republika Srpska. Caring for them is a permanent obligation, and we must value the freedom in which we live. Many suffered greatly so that we and future generations could enjoy this freedom," Cvijanović said.
