PRIJEDOR, JUNE 19 /SRNA/ - SNSD Vice President Željka Cvijanović said that it is high time for everything in BiH to be returned to institutional frameworks and for elected representatives of the constituent peoples to make decisions.
“It was high time for that, but it is obvious that we still have to deal with usurpatory measures of various foreigners who have been here,” Cvijanović told reporters in Prijedor.
She expressed confidence that, regardless of disagreements between the United States and the EU, solutions will be reached that imply a swift transition to local authorities, without foreign involvement or interference in the legislative process.
“I deeply believe that we will soon reach a situation where we can clear up all those problematic issues that have been left to us by our predecessors,” Cvijanović added ahead of the panel discussion “/Geo/Strategic Direction of Srpska,” of which she is one of the panelists.
She assessed that these forums, held across Srpska, represent a series of useful discussions on current topics for Republika Srpska and BiH, particularly in light of developments related to the appointment of a new High Representative.
Cvijanović said it is important to have discussions and for everyone to present their arguments on how they envision the situation, stressing that the position of Republika Srpska is clear.
Other panelists at the forum included Academicians of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republika Srpska, Nenad Kecmanović and Darko Tanasković, BiH Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Vranješ, and political analyst Aleksandar Pavić.
