CVIJANOVIĆ: BILJANA PLAVŠIĆ PLAYED KEY ROLE IN SRPSKA POLITICS DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 1 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said that Biljana Plavšić was a woman who played an important role in the political life of Republika Srpska during difficult times.

"She will be remembered as someone who held a number of senior and responsible public offices, including those of president of Republika Srpska and Serb member of the Presidency of the former Socialist Republic of BiH," Cvijanović said in a message of condolence following Plavšić's death, adding that she had received the news with sadness.

Cvijanović extended her sincere condolences to the Plavšić family.

Former Republika Srpska president Biljana Plavšić died in Belgrade this morning at the age of 95.
