BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA/ - Commendations for support in the establishment and development of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs /MoI/ Training Centre in Zalužani near Banja Luka were presented on Friday, with Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović and President Milorad Dodik among the recipients.
Commendations were also presented to Prime Minister Savo Minić, Minister of Internal Affairs Željko Budimir, Republika Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostrešević, former interior minister Dragan Lukač, and the First Infantry Battalion of the Sixth Infantry Brigade of the BiH Armed Forces, who contributed through their work, support and cooperation to the establishment, development and operation of the Centre.
The Police Silver Badge was awarded to the Training Centre.
Cvijanović received the commendation for supporting the establishment and equipping of the Centre and for cooperation during her tenure as prime minister of Republika Srpska.
Dodik received the commendation for supporting the establishment, equipping, development and operation of the Centre.
Budimir and Minić received commendations for supporting the Centre's further equipping, development and operation.
The First Infantry Battalion of the Sixth Infantry Brigade of the BiH Armed Forces received a commendation for good mutual cooperation in conducting joint training, while Lukač was honored for his efforts in establishing and building the Centre, as well as its equipping and development.
Kostrešević received the commendation for supporting the equipping, development and operation of the Centre.
The Police Silver Badge was awarded to the Centre for special merit in the training and development of specialized skills and knowledge among members of the MoI's specialized organizational units. Minister Željko Budimir presented the award to the head of the Centre, Vedran Simić.
The commendations were presented at a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Training Centre, which has organized around 250 different training programs over the past decade.
