BANJA LUKA, APRIL 26 /SRNA/ - The president of the Balkan Society of Nations, Mario Ćumurović, said that the commitment from today's Forum in Banja Luka is to send clear messages rejecting the actions of the illegal High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, as well as the judicial persecution aimed at discrediting legitimate leaders such as the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Ćumurović emphasized that Republika Srpska is not alone and has many friends, and that its struggle to preserve rights and freedoms is part of a joint effort by all who believe in a Europe of sovereign nations, democracy, and family values.

"We point out that the unelected High Representative, Christian Schmidt, who falsely presents himself and seeks to impose various pressures, brings everything that is contrary to the principles upon which democracy rests. That is why we are determined to send clear messages that we do not accept his actions," Ćumurović told reporters before the start of the International Forum "Resurrection – 2025: Peace, Stability, and Christian Values in Modern Europe and the Balkans."

He noted that today's forum is significant for both Europe and the Balkans, and that it sends a strong message of peace, stability, and the preservation of Christian values, upon which Europe has built its greatness for centuries.

"Today, when judicial prosecutions are being used to try to discredit legitimate leaders such as Milorad Dodik, Marine Le Pen, and Robert Fico, we express our sincere will and hope that, just as Donald Trump in America successfully fought against these extreme forces, our strength will also prevail, and that we will defend ourselves against such impositions, and that the representatives of democracy, freedom, strength, and the dignity of Europe will triumph," Ćumurović emphasized.

He said that the Balkan Society of Nations remains committed to providing support to Republika Srpska together with its friends around the world, adding that these efforts will be in the interest of all European nations.

Ćumurović said that today’s Forum brought together representatives from more than 10 European countries, including members of parliament, public figures, and many other delegates from Germany, Belgium, Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Russia, Austria, Belarus, and other nations.

The aim of the Forum, held under the auspices of the President of Republika Srpska, is to promote international support for the legitimate aspirations of Republika Srpska and its efforts to uphold the principles of justice and the rule of law.
