CONTRACT ON DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF ŠEPAK–NOVI GRAD GAS PIPELINE SIGNED

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 17 /SRNA/ – A contract - framework agreement for the design and construction of the main Šepak–Novi Grad gas pipeline was signed today in Banja Luka.

The agreement was signed by the director of the Sarajevo-gas Company from Istočno Sarajevo, Nedeljko Elek, and Miloš

Petrović of Konvar Company from Belgrade, in the presence of Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić and Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Đokić.

The Konvar Company is the lead member of the consortium that will carry out the works on this project, which also includes the companies “Gastek” Inđija, “Radis” Istočno Sarajevo, the Welding Institute Belgrade, and “Jokić Invest” Zvornik, the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska announced earlier.

The project for the construction of the main Šepak–Novi Grad gas pipeline consists of three phases, the first of which includes the construction of the primary main gas pipeline Šepak–Banja Luka.

The second phase includes the construction of branch pipelines toward cities and municipalities along the route, with gas pipelining planned for 18 local communities.

The third phase includes the construction of the main gas pipeline Banja Luka–Novi Grad.

The planned length of the bidirectional pipeline route is approximately 500 kilometers.
