BIJELJINA, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ - The shooting in Brčko, under the guise of celebrating the BiH national football team's victory, disturbed the local Serb population and endangered the safety of all residents of the district, according to a joint statement from veterans’ associations from Brčko, Bijeljina, and Ugljevik.
They expect a decisive response from the Brčko police, similar to previous actions when Serb children were fined for wearing certain T-shirts.
They asked whether this has now become common practice, citing a previous incident at Hasići Hill near Bihać, where no action was taken.
Representatives of the veterans' associations Peša from Brčko, Garda Panteri from Bijeljina, Mandini Lavovi from Ugljevik, and the Scout-Diversionist Unit Crni strongly condemn last night's act and expect the district authorities to publicly denounce the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are identified and punished.
The group of fans in Brčko celebrated the victory of the BiH football team over Wales while displaying war flags of the so-called Army of BiH and firing automatic weapons in bursts.
