BUBIĆ: OPENING OF THE BRIDGE IN ŠIPRAGE SIGNIFICANT FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

KOTOR VAROŠ, AUGUST 11 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, Radenko Bubić, stated today in Kotor Varoš that the opening of the new "Šiprage Two" bridge is of great significance for the local economy.

Bubić emphasized that more people are employed in Kotor Varoš than before the war, and that this number is currently around 4,500 workers.

"People in Šiprage, among other things, work in the wood and other industries, and this bridge will mean a lot to them," Bubić told reporters, adding that the Government will help all business entities from Kotor Varoš that are investing and funding new equipment and technologies.

The Acting Director of the Public Enterprise "Putevi Republike Srpske", Miroslav Janković, pointed out that the works on the new bridge were completed in record time.

"The bridge is 20 meters long and slightly more than nine meters wide. In addition to the bridge, we also built access roads in the surrounding areas. The total investment in the Kotor Varoš municipality amounts to around 950,000 KM. And we do not intend to stop there, because we will also build the 'Šiprage One' bridge and some other local roads," Janković stated.

The Mayor of Kotor Varoš, Zdenko Sakan, said that the opening of the new bridge in Šiprage means a lot to the entire Kotor Varoš in every respect.

"Everything in this regard was done with high quality and the problems of traffic communication have been solved for the next 100 years. We thank the Government of Srpska and 'Putevi' for the investment, and we hope that the investments will continue," says Sakan.

The residents of Šiprage expressed their gratitude for the construction of the bridge, as it will mean a lot to them in their daily lives and work, as well as in the economy and school education.
