BROD FREE ZONE PRESENTED IN QINGDAO CITY

BEIJING, MAY 25 /SRNA/ – A business seminar on attracting investments to BiH and promoting the Brod Free Zone was held in the Chinese city of Qingdao, attended by around sixty representatives of Chinese companies, local institutions, and business associations.

The seminar was attended by BiH Ambassador to China, Siniša Berjan, Brod Mayor Milan Zečević and his delegation, as well as the leadership of the Qingdao Chamber of Commerce, representing one of China’s most important industrial and economic centres, announced the BiH Embassy.

Berjan emphasized in his address the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between BiH and China, stressing that such events provide an important platform for connecting business communities and creating new opportunities for investment and trade cooperation.

“Republika Srpska and BiH offer numerous advantages for foreign investors, including a favourable geographic location, a competitive business environment, a qualified workforce, and access to regional and European markets,” Berjan stated while presenting the country’s potential and current investment projects.

Zečević presented the economic and investment potential of the Municipality of Brod, with special emphasis on the Free Zone, infrastructure connectivity, favourable geographic position, and available capacities for the development of manufacturing, logistics, and export-oriented activities.

He highlighted the Municipality of Brod’s commitment to creating a favourable business climate and the readiness of the local administration to provide institutional support to foreign investors in implementing concrete projects.

During the seminar, an agreement was signed between the Qingdao Chamber of Commerce and the Brod Free Zone aimed at improving economic cooperation, exchanging information, and connecting companies interested in joint projects and investments.

Direct talks were also held between representatives of Chinese companies, the BiH Embassy, and the Municipality of Brod delegation, during which concrete models of future cooperation in the fields of industry, logistics, manufacturing, and trade were discussed.

The seminar was organised by the BiH Embassy in China, the Municipality of Brod, and the Qingdao Chamber of Commerce.
