BEAR SPOTTED ON MOUNT KRNJIN

DOBOJ, JUNE 20 /SRNA/ – A bear has been spotted in the Krnjin area, the Fazan Hunting Association announced, urging residents to exercise caution as the animal was seen near populated areas and roads.

The bear was spotted yesterday morning in the Vis locality toward the settlement of Veliki Prnjavor, within the Krnjin hunting district, according to a post on the association’s Facebook page.

The hunting association advised residents to avoid moving through forested areas during the early morning and late evening hours and, in the event of an encounter with wildlife, to remain calm and avoid provoking the animal.

Hunters were warned to comply with all applicable safety regulations and the ethical code of hunting while in the hunting grounds.

The association said it would continue monitoring the movement of wildlife in the area and called on citizens who spot the bear to immediately notify the office of the Fazan Hunting Association.
