KOZARSKA DUBICA, JUNE 26 /SRNA/ – National People's Party /NPS/ President Darko Banjac strongly condemned the burning of the Republika Srpska flag, saying it was an expression of hatred toward Serbs.
"Let them remember well the flag they burned, because it will continue to fly for centuries. The hatred they display speaks for itself - it shows that there is no BiH, only the state of Republika Srpska," Banjac said.
He added that the individuals who burned the Republika Srpska flag had been indoctrinated with the hatred of those who, he said, had committed genocide against the Serbian people throughout history.
"I say enough is enough, and never again. We Serbs are good people and good hosts, but we will never again forgive or forget. I believe there can no longer be coexistence with them, only a peaceful separation. Keep your BiH - we will keep our Republika Srpska," Banjac said in a statement to SRNA.
A video circulating on social media appears to show a group of individuals removing the Republika Srpska flag from a flagpole and then setting it on fire while shouting "Allahu Akbar" and using profanity.
According to media reports from the Federation of BiH, the flag had been flying on a flagpole erected along the Inter-Entity Boundary Line between Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH.
