BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 6 /SRNA/ - The Government of Republika Srpska today adopted information on the continued financing of the priority capital project to construct the Serbian-Russian church and the accompanying spiritual and cultural center in Aleja Centar in Banja Luka, for which BAM 5,000,000 will be allocated.

The Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska has been tasked with securing BAM 5,000,000 from the Republika Srpska budget in the coming period, in line with available resources, for the implementation of the project, the Government's Bureau for Public Relations announced.

The Serbian-Russian church and spiritual-cultural center in Banja Luka is being built in honor of the Romanov family. The prototype for the future church is the former Church of the Miracle of the Archangel Michael, originally built in 1358, which once stood in the Kremlin and was demolished after the October Revolution.

The church's foundations were consecrated on September 17, 2018.
