AMIDŽIĆ: DESPITE HYSTERIA AND NERVOUSNESS, NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW, INCLUDING SULJAGIĆ AND SREBRENICA MEMORIAL CENTER

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 8 /SRNA/ – SNSD Secretary-General Srđan Amidžić said he did not know why Emir Suljagić was nervous or why he was reacting so hysterically if the Srebrenica Memorial Center was operating in accordance with the law and everything in its work was clean and transparent.

Amidžić told SRNA that it was also unclear why Suljagić was accusing Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović, given that it was his own associates who reported him.

"After all, those who respect the law have no reason to fear its enforcement. Otherwise, the question arises as to why an ordinary legal procedure is being turned into a political incident. In any case, regardless of the nervousness and hysteria, neither Suljagić personally nor the institution he heads is, or can be, above the law or beyond the reach of the rule of law," Amidžić stressed.

Srebrenica Memorial Center Director Emir Suljagić said that the leadership of Republika Srpska was responsible for what he described as pressure on the center and that this was the "direct consequence of the relentless campaign led by Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović."
