ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, MAY 14 /SRNA/ – Lawyer Ognjen Tadić told SRNA that the decision of the Hague Mechanism not to allow General Ratko Mladić to receive treatment in Serbia was not unexpected, although all necessary legal, humanitarian and medical arguments indicated that it should have been different.
"I have the impression that objective and fair conditions for deciding on the request of Mladić's defense still do not exist within the Hague Mechanism, or for anyone else who shares his fate", Tadić stressed.
According to him, everyone can see that Mladić is not viewed there as a convict, but as a war trophy captured in the fight against a people who, contrary to all anti-Serb plans, did not yield to the joint criminal enterprise of fascism and radical Islamism in BiH.
The Hague Mechanism rejected the defense request for General Ratko Mladić to be released for treatment in Serbia due to his serious health condition.
