A CHINESE DELEGATION TO VISIT BROD SOON

BROD, JUNE 20 /SRNA/ - A cultural online exchange took place today in Brod with the Chinese city of Suzhou, from Jiangsu Province. Soon, representatives of the first business delegations from China are expected to visit this municipality in Republika Srpska, where they will be presented with all the investment potentials.

"Today’s event is important for several reasons, but the most significant is the result; such events always grow into something more, whether it be economic, commercial, or political cooperation. I am honored to have helped realize this event, making Republika Srpska more connected with China," said Siniša Berjan, the Ambassador of BiH to China.

Mayor Milan Zečević said that this online exchange is a great achievement for Brod.

"I have the great honor today to host such an event, because we believe that all great things start with exchanges in culture and sports, and ultimately with our human and life experiences," said Zečević.

During the exchange, all participants agreed that this event is a cornerstone for the next steps toward better connecting Brod with this Chinese city, which is one of the most developed industrial centers in the country.

In recent months, the municipality of Brod has initiated the process of twinning with four Chinese cities, successfully realizing these plans thanks to the support and recommendation of Ambassador Berjan, the municipality announced.

As part of the online exchange, participants from Brod and China took part via video link in creating a cloth tiger, one of the symbols of the city of Suzhou.

The event was held under the sponsorship of the Embassy of BiH in China, as well as the Office for International Relations of Suzhou.

Suzhou is one of the most developed industrial centers in China, with a population exceeding 10 million people. It plays a crucial role in the economic development of Jiangsu Province, which ranks as the second most developed province in the country.
