211 LICENCES ISSUED TO LEGAL ENTITIES IN CONSTRUCTION SECTOR SINCE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 11 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska has launched a new three-year investment cycle worth BAM 7.4 billion, covering the construction of transport, public, energy and utility infrastructure, and the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology plays a key role in the entire process, the line minister Bojan Vipotnik said.

"This provides a strong boost to the construction sector, which is one of the main drivers of economic development, as every investment in infrastructure simultaneously creates opportunities for new jobs, the engagement of domestic companies and the strengthening of overall economic activity," Vipotnik said.

The Ministry said on its Instagram account that further confirmation of this assessment can be found in the fact that, since the beginning of 2026, it has issued 211 licences to legal entities in the fields of construction and spatial planning, 258 licences to individuals involved in construction, and around 40 building permits for major infrastructure projects.

"The Ministry ensures that all major capital projects are implemented in accordance with applicable legislation through the preparation and implementation of spatial planning documents, the issuance of the necessary approvals and permits, as well as monitoring to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with professional standards and environmental protection principles," the post said.
