BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 22 /SRNA/ – The Tvrdoš Monastery Cellars winery, in addition to its traditional selection of renowned wines, presented a new wine, Tamjanika, at the Wine Vision of the Open Balkan fair in Belgrade.

As in previous years, the Tvrdoš winery is showcasing its wines made from the indigenous Herzegovinian varieties Vranac and Žilavka, as well as wines from international varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet.

“We are very proud this year of our new wine, which is a Serbian indigenous wine made from the Tamjanika variety, which can also be cultivated in Herzegovina, so we expect good success,” the winery’s director, Tihomir Kuduz, told SRNA.

He noted that Tamjanika has only recently begun to be planted in Herzegovina, and the winery had its first harvest last year.

“We are very proud of this wine, which is of very high quality. Tamjanika itself is extremely aromatic, muscat-like, with very pleasant fruity aromas. It is very enjoyable for tasting, so we expect significant success,” Kuduz said.

He stated that the fair, as every year, is very well organised and is extremely important for wine producers because it provides the opportunity to meet people from various parts of the world, including importers and professional buyers.

“We have the opportunity to present our wines and make meaningful progress in our business. We have been part of this fair from the very beginning, and every year we achieve some success and find new buyers and markets,” Kuduz said.
