OMIŠ, AUGUST 27 /SRNA/ - Three patients who were seriously injured in the fire near Omiš remain in life-threatening condition, the Sestre Milosrdnice Clinical Hospital Center in Zagreb said.
They are in intensive care, on ventilators, and receiving treatment aimed at stabilizing and maintaining vital functions.
All three have undergone surgery to remove dead, burned tissue.
Given the extent of their burns, their recovery is progressing as expected, Croatian media reported.
The fire broke out at around 8:00 p.m. on August 13 in a wooded area alongside a road in the Lokva Rogoznica area.
A citizen of BiH was killed in the fire, while seven people were in life-threatening condition and were receiving intensive care.
A total of 106 vehicles, 28 houses, and 45 vessels were destroyed by the fire. Another 43 houses, 20 vehicles and nine vessels were partially damaged.
