BELGRADE, OCTOBER 27 /SRNA/ – Miloš Ković, a professor of history at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, told SRNA that it is clear the great crisis now gripping Western Europe began in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, primarily in BiH and Kosovo and Metohija.
Commenting on the increasingly frequent attacks on Christians in BiH, assaults on Serb returnees and Orthodox churches and cemeteries, as well as attacks on Serb political representatives such as President Milorad Dodik, whom Muslims, with the help of left-orientated globalists, are trying to remove from the political arena, Ković believes this is all part of a broader process.
"This is about the dechristianization of Europe, a breaking of traditions and heritage more than 2,000 years old. We are in a phase of revolutionary change that has overtaken most of Western Europe and the United States. This confrontation with their own past began with the destruction of Christian churches and cathedral churches and a war against Orthodox Christians, the Serbs, which goes hand in hand with Muslim extremism," Ković stressed.
He points out that Western states, especially their intelligence services, are involved wherever extreme Muslim political organisations appear.
"We can see this not only in the Balkans but also in the Middle East and the Near East. It is a struggle within Europe itself. We see Western countries’ attempts to pull themselves out of this crisis, which is most evident in the United States," Ković said.
He noted that although the United Kingdom is in deep crisis, it remains active in the Balkans, keeps trying to lecture Serbs on how and with whom they should live.
"Nevertheless, it is active here in our region, still trying to teach Serbs how they should live and with whom," Ković pointed out.
He added that it is clear that Donald Trump's administration is attempting to pull the U.S. out of a comprehensive moral crisis, but whether it will succeed depends on many factors.
"How much of this will be visible in U.S. foreign policy also depends on many elements, since the American administration is quite heterogeneous. On one hand, there are people such as Vice President James David Vance, who follows this current within Trump’s administration. On the other hand, there are figures like /Secretary of State/ Marco Rubio and other members of Trump’s cabinet who belong to somewhat older structures but have adapted to new times," Ković assessed.
When asked whether Trump's administration could take more decisive steps to protect Christians in BiH, an issue also being examined by American investigative journalists such as Laura Loomer, Ković says he is a moderate pessimist, but that no one can force Serbs to stop trying to explain to the U.S. administration what is happening, even though it already knows BiH well.
"Our duty is to keep trying and to do everything we can to win them over, one way or another, to our interests," Ković said.
Although he says he is not optimistic about the U.S., Ković believes that Trump's administration attempting to redirect American foreign policy is the fact.
"Whether they will succeed in turning that, figuratively speaking, massive ship or aircraft carrier loaded with weapons remains to be seen," he said.
In his view, it is important to remember that there is a movement within America that is trying to bring about change.
"That's why we should make an effort to do something, but we must never risk damaging our relations with Russia, because Russia still remains the key pillar of support for the Serb people in their foreign policy," Ković concluded.
