BELGRADE, December 24 /SRNA/ - Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Kokanović told SRNA that he will visit Banja Luka on Monday, December 29, where he will meet with representatives of the Investment-Development Bank of Republika Srpska to discuss incentive measures aimed at encouraging the Serbian diaspora to invest in Serbia or Republika Srpska.
Kokanović said that the Office has a signed cooperation protocol with the IRB and that the upcoming meeting will define concrete steps to be presented to the Serbian diaspora.
He stressed that the Office also hopes that members of the Serbian diaspora may one day return and relocate the center of their life activities to Republika Srpska as well as to Serbia.
Kokanović noted that, in this regard, the Office is highly committed and has established a Contact Center intended to work with people who wish to return to their homeland, Serbia.
He emphasized that there is a very large number of daily inquiries from doctors as well as compatriots from various other professions living all over the world who want to return to Serbia.
"This is something very concrete and something we are working on with great dedication," Kokanović said.
He also announced that during his visit to Banja Luka he will attend the annual concert of the Veselin Masleša Association, which is dedicated to preserving Serbian identity, the Cyrillic script, and Serbian tradition and culture, and with which the Office has maintained very good cooperation for many years, expressing hope that this cooperation will further improve.
