BELGRADE, JULY 22 /SRNA/ - Serb List Presidency member Igor Simić said that the illegal demolition of Serbian houses in Gazivode shows that Albin Kurti, following a tried-and-tested pattern, is continuing the expulsion of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, while the international community silently observes it.

"The EU and the embassies of the Quint countries must respond to this demolition," Simić stressed.

He pointed out that anti-Serb hysteria has been going on for far too long in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as in the region, with the aim of dragging Serbia into some kind of conflict at any cost.

"Kurti treats Serbs as hostages. He often has the support of international representatives, who are clearly trying to make Belgrade give in when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija," Simić told TV Pink.

The demolition of holiday homes and houses owned by Serbs on Lake Gazivode began yesterday without a court decision, and UNMIK told Kosovo Online that it was "closely monitoring the developments".
